Hairstylists confirm blogger’s opinions: homemade hair treatments really work

It turns out that there is a huge difference between NOURISHING the hair and its actual NOURISHMENT. In other words, you can either be only trying or you can use a method that will bring effects. Claiming that a hair shampoo and conditioner are not enough to provide the hair with proper care, is nothing new. What treatment can you (or should you) do at home to restore your hair’s condition and make it healthier, stronger and even more beautiful?

Hair oiling – what do the hairstylists say?

The secret of hair nourishment is to ensure the health of its most important part – the bulbs. They are primarily responsible for the proper growth and beauty of the hair. If the bulbs are weak – all the hair is destroyed. You need to start the care with the bulbs. The treatment must take into account both the strengthening bulbs and the care of the scalp and – only in the third place – hair care in their external and internal structure.

The best hair treatment accordingly to gathered opinions and knowledge

Based on the experience of many women, and the knowledge of hairdressers, trichologists and hair stylists, we can mention two homemade hair treatments that give long-lasting, excellent results.

1. Hair oiling – the best and most natural hair care method that is to nourish, strengthen and beautify the hair deeply. Hair oiling is nothing else but a regular oil application to the hair and scalp. The oils (must be natural, unrefined and extracted through cold-pressing of the plant seeds) play the role of hair masks; they penetrate the bulbs, nurture the scalp and improve the hair condition. Hair oiling has been known for ages and is carefully described in Ayurveda – the philosophy and medicine od the East.

2. Hair Rinse – is nothing else but rinsing the hair with a herbal infusion or a vegetable vinegar (one of the most popular ones is raspberry vinegar). A hair rinse seals the scales, restores proper pH of the scalp, increases shine and softness. It is perfect after the oil treatment and complements the whole care: after washing the oil off with shampoo and rinsing it, simply use the selected herbal infusion as the last rinse. The most recommended herbs used for hair rining are: nettle, chamomile, sage, liquorice root or horsetail.
